For the very first time, they will take the stage in the Czech Republic, with an eagerly awaited concert slated for August 14 at Areál 7 located in Holešovice, Prague.
Empire of the Sun, recognized as one of Australia’s most successful music bands, has been mesmerizing fans around the globe for almost two decades.
The duo is celebrated for their dramatic performances, intricate costumes, and captivating visuals, having transformed the electronic music scene with their distinctive mix of alternative electro-pop.
Formed by Luke Steele (who was previously associated with The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (who co-founded PNAU), the duo has developed a truly unique sonic signature.
Memorable Hits and Musical Progression
Their debut album, Walking On A Dream, quickly became a timeless classic, showcasing the anthemic tracks “Walking On A Dream” and “We Are The People”. The band characterized the album as a “spiritual road movie”, which laid the groundwork for their signature sound.
The second album, Ice On The Dune, presented a more refined disco-pop audio experience, delivering hits such as “Alive” and “DNA”, which allowed them to embark on a wide-ranging world tour.
With their third studio album, Two Vines, Empire of the Sun joined forces with acclaimed artists, including Lindsey Buckingham, members of David Bowie’s Blackstar band, and Wendy Melvoin from Prince & The Revolution. This album introduced memorable singles like “High And Low” and “Way To Go”, further solidifying their reputation as pioneers of electronic music.
Tickets for the Prague concert are anticipated to sell out quickly, considering the band’s loyal fanbase and the infrequency of their performances in Europe.
