Křivoklát Castle invites you to an early spring trip – Where to go from boredom

At Curveball is open in March every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hours. Lovers of historical monuments can take a look into the castle interiors by the main tour called Gothic Palaces. Over time, the castle has seen a number of famous historical figures – you know, the unwillingly Edward Kelley who spent two and a half years at Křivoklát? His prison was the tower Huderka. On the ground floor of the tower, you can still peer through a barred hole in the floor into the dark underground dungeon where Kelley is said to have spent the early part of his detention.
Only once a day, from 13:00 hours, those interested in the extended tour can come to the Castle Palaces, which, in addition to the above, also takes visitors to the library, the picture gallery, the rooms dedicated to Philippina Welser and the Castle Museum fürstenberg.
A visit to the castle can also be combined with a visit to the a walk around the surroundings, the trees are leafless, so there are really extraordinary views. It is not for nothing that the surroundings of the castle belonged for many centuries one of the most popular places to visit of members of the nobility. You can take a walk to the Paraplíčko viewpoint (towards Roztoky) or the other way along the NS Brdatka towards Zbečno. Children will definitely be delighted by the recreational and educational area of the Forest Playground.
