This unique experience is part of the Kingdom Come Live project, which features the stunning towns of Kutná Hora—often referred to as UNESCO’s gem—along with Rataje nad Sázavou, Suchdol, and Malešov. As allies of Henry of Skalitz, the game’s protagonist, you will embark on an exhilarating journey filled with numerous challenges and unexpected delights.
The initial installment of Kingdom Come: Deliverance (KCD), developed by the talented team at Czech studio Warhorse Studios, was a tremendous success. The castle in Rataje, a central location in the game, is now open to public visits and showcases several exhibitions, including one that focuses on how the game depicts Rataje and its historical environment. After exploring the castle, be sure to make a stop at the Rataje Viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sázava River meander—a scenery also accessible through a picturesque train journey from Prague. Don’t forget to check out the nearby Pirkštejn Castle, another significant historical landmark.
For gaming enthusiasts, there’s an exciting lineup of activities to enjoy—from an immersive costumed tour of Kutná Hora to accessible hiking trails and an engaging three-day medieval holiday. A newly designed route connecting Kutná Hora and Malešov, where a local brewery is located, includes various tasks and puzzles for participants. The town of Kutná Hora itself is rich with activities, boasting a walk along 30 unique stops.

- Malešov Fortress: Experience the charm of Malešov with a grand feast, an overnight stay in replicas of medieval tents, and an exhilarating escape game. Visitors will fully engage in medieval life, striving to solve puzzles and complete challenges in a thrilling setting.
- The Mintmaster’s Secret: Participate in a captivating costumed tour of Kutná Hora (known as Kuttenberg in KCD) that intertwines the city’s rich history with the game’s creative influences. Guests will venture through significant landmarks like the Italian Court and St. Barbara’s Cathedral, sampling delightful dishes inspired by medieval cuisine.
- Touch the Past: An immersive journey that seamlessly connects the realms of the video game and reality. Participants will visit actual locations that appear in the game, experiencing the medieval atmosphere where it truly began.
- Medieval Quest “Save Henry”: Adventurers will set off on a thrilling expedition from Kutná Hora to Malešov, unraveling puzzles, fulfilling tasks, and deciphering a secret code to aid Henry in rescuing his friend.
- Kingdom Come: Experience: A meld of an escape game, interactive theatre, and live-action role-playing game. Attendees will tackle riddles, face challenges, and immerse themselves in a mysterious, twist-laden narrative set in the medieval stronghold of Malešov, brought to life by vibrant historical characters in costumes.
- Suchdol: An educational path that guides visitors through the village of Suchdol, offering a direct comparison between real locations and their counterparts in the game.
