Sir Hotels Makes Its Grand Debut in Prague!

The prestigious hotel chain, Sir Hotels, based in Amsterdam, has officially launched its first location in the Czech Republic, opening its doors in Prague this past Monday.

This newly established hotel is located in a historic building on Náplavní Street, conveniently near the Dancing House. It offers a total of 76 beautifully designed rooms across five levels.

In addition to comfortable accommodations, Sir Prague provides guests with a variety of amenities, such as a bar, a fully equipped fitness center, and a unique tower suite for those looking to enjoy a truly remarkable stay.

The hotel also includes a versatile library and a charming courtyard, both of which contribute to an enhanced leisure experience for visitors.

A standout feature of the hotel is Seven North, a highly regarded restaurant from Vienna that is making its exciting debut in the Czech market. This dining venue is celebrated for its Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

“Prague is a city that possesses a unique spirit, and we are excited to become part of its dynamic hospitality landscape,” shared Christine Vespermann, the CEO of Sir Prague.

The stylish hotel collection, which began in Amsterdam 12 years ago, has already set up locations in Berlin and Barcelona, with more openings planned for London and beyond.

Housed in a distinguished neo-Renaissance building that dates back to 1884, the Prague site has been thoughtfully renovated to maintain its historical architectural significance. The hotel’s interior design, crafted by the acclaimed British designer Linda Boronkay, draws inspiration from Prague’s rich cultural and artistic legacy.

A Thriving Hotel Market in Prague

The inauguration of Sir Prague is part of a wider trend of growth and development within the city’s hospitality sector. At the end of March, the upgraded InterContinental Prague is set to relaunch as Fairmont Golden Prague, following a comprehensive four-year renovation costing several billion crowns.

The R2G investment group, led by Oldřich Šlemr, Pavel Baudiš, and Eduard Kučera, acquired the hotel in 2018 for nearly six billion CZK and has invested a total of ten billion CZK into its transformation. The revitalized Fairmont Golden Prague will feature 320 rooms, apartments, and serviced residences for guests.

Meanwhile, the luxury hotel landscape in Prague continues to change, with several significant properties undergoing changes in ownership.

Last year, the largest hotel in the Czech Republic, the Hilton Prague, was sold to Renáta Kellnerová, the wealthiest woman in the country, for an estimated 300 million euros (7.5 billion CZK).
