Easter marketOn Saturday, April 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Cheb Museum is excited to host its annual Easter Fair. This event will showcase various traditional crafts as well as a delightful selection of local foods and treats. Thanks to the partnership between the Cheb Museum and the nearby Roman Catholic parish, the space between the museum and St. Nicholas Church will be transformed into a charming marketplace. Here, attendees will find a variety of offerings including sausages, fish, herbs, baked goods, honey, and many more local products. Additionally, the Integrated Secondary School Cheb, along with its service and craft programs, the Carpentry School, Joker Cheb sheltered workshops, and the NOra low-care facility for children and youth, will enhance the market experience.

Easter marketThere will also be an exciting cultural program, which will take place partly at the Wallenstein Picture Gallery Museum and partly in the parish church. Both children and adults will surely enjoy the exhibitions. Visitors can look forward to performances from local groups such as the Jang Band from Cheb, Kampa Theatre, Kot’ata Choir, Kujme Pikle Band, and organ music by Ivana Měsíčková.

The museum staff is eager to welcome everyone who appreciates the enchanting spirit of folk crafts, customs, and traditions. In keeping with this theme, this year’s fair will feature the colorful rooster, which, according to local folklore in the Cheb region, traditionally brought eggs hidden in gardens for children to find on Easter Monday.
