Discover the Enchantment of Evening Tours at Konopiště Castle
Konopiště Castle is closely associated with Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este, who was the heir to the Habsburg throne. This year, his Italian heritage from the Este and Obizzi families will be honored through special evening tours called The splendour of sunny Italy. The valuable collections from these well-known Italian families were brought to Konopiště by Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este, and they have beautifully decorated the castle’s rooms and garden areas. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to see many stunning historical artifacts, including personal items and unique curiosities from various eras, as well as rooms that are usually not open to the public. Additionally, the guide will share stories about the significant figures from these noble families.
The Gloss of Sunny Italy tours occur on the first Wednesday of every month, followed by the second Wednesday after that. The upcoming tours are scheduled for April 9 and 23, May 7 and 21, and June 4 and 18. The final guided tour showcasing the splendor of Italy will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The admission fee for the guided tour is a flat rate of 360 CZK per person, and reservations are required in advance, for both individuals and groups.
