Vibrant Easter Markets in the Heart of Prague

Easter Celebrations in Old Town and Wenceslas Square
Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square will be filled with vibrant colors and from April 5 to April 27, 2025, they welcome you to the Easter Market. This year, the markets at Old Town and the Wenceslas Square will feature fun and playful additions like interactive chalkboards, workshops where kids can learn alongside adults, and cheerful photo booths. The Old Town Square will be adorned with gorgeous live flowers placed in large pots. Additionally, there will be stages in both squares hosting performances from around 500 adults and nearly 1,000 children! Don’t miss out on the cultural program that begins at 4 PM daily, and at 11 AM on weekends in Old Town Square. The heart of the market showcases a variety of Easter goods, with a focus on Czech-made products and traditional Easter treats. You can buy colorful pomlázky, beautifully decorated Easter eggs, crocheted blankets, wicker items, straw goods, and delicious snacks like mazanec, egg spread, lokše, and frgály.
Easter Markets at Míru, Anděl, and Mariánské Square
Similar to the Christmas markets, the Easter markets on Náměstí Míru are very popular among visitors. This year, the stalls will fill the square from April 5 to April 21, 2025. Expect to find a variety of Easter decorations, carvers showcasing their work, delicious French pancakes, beautiful flowers, gingerbread treats, fun bunnies, eggs, vibrant pom poms, ceramics, and engaging workshops and cultural performances—it’s everything you’d expect from a festive Easter market.
In the pedestrian area of Anděl, the Easter markets in Anděl will operate their stalls from April 17 to April 21, 2025. Here, you can explore farm-fresh produce, cold cuts, baked treats, and stalls offering delicious snacks and hot beverages.
The classic Easter market will also be held at Mariánské náměstí, an area surrounded by notable landmarks such as the new City Hall, the City Library, the Clam-Gallas Palace, and the Clementinum. Mariánské Easter will come alive again from April 4 to April 27, 2025, thanks to the My Mariánské project. This market will emphasize unique products from social enterprises and non-profit organizations. On specific days, you can enjoy a cultural program while viewing a photo exhibition by Václav Šilha, titled Tradition in Pictures, which will be displayed throughout the entire event.
This year marks the inaugural Easter Fair on Dvořák Embankment, running from April 11 to May 10, 2025. A highlight of this fair will be a four-meter tall rattle, which aims to set a record in the Guinness Book of World Records. Additionally, in the Square of the Republic, visitors can enjoy the interactive Wenceslas Easter from March 31 to April 27, 2025, filled with delightful scents and colors, all while supporting a charitable cause.
