Revive Your Routine: Discover Fun Ways to Enjoy Hard-Boiled Eggs!

According to a well-known legend, Charles Bridge is the only bridge in the entire world that was constructed not just from stone, but also with the addition of eggs. This unique ingredient is said to be the reason why the bridge has stood the test of time for more than 650 years.

In the early morning, a steam train departs from Velvar, carrying a shipment of eggs that have been hard-boiled for a delightful sightseeing adventure, arriving in Prague just before noon. At 1 p.m., a celebratory procession will walk across the Charles Bridge to deliver the eggs to the people of Prague. Following this event, everyone is warmly invited to attend the opening of the Easter exhibition at the Charles Bridge Museum, and the festivities will be completed with a picturesque ride under Charles Bridge in the area known as Prague Venice.

Since the year 2015, the group known as Velvar to Prague vejconoš has been traveling with a basket filled with eggs. This group is traditionally led by the president of the Velvar association called The Hardened. Along their journey, they will be joined by other participants from nearby villages, and everyone will come together in Prague at the Lesser Town Tower. They will then cross the Charles Bridge as a group, heading to Křižovnické náměstí, where they will officially deliver the boiled eggs to the community.
