Animals and Other Entertainment in the Horácké Region

FarmAt Eden, you can see all sorts of animals – including sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and more – but please refrain from touching them or entering their enclosures. This rule is in place to ensure the animals’ safety and to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease. As you enter, you will step over a disinfectant mat and use hand sanitizer. By following these steps, you are helping keep the animals healthy.

This year, visitors will not be able to pet or feed the goats, sheep, pigs, and other animals in the stalls. However, you can freely feed poultry, rabbits, fish, geese, ducks, and chickens! There will be tape marking certain enclosures to clearly show where contact with the animals is temporarily not allowed. In areas without tape, feel free to move around safely and enjoy your time.

Easter on EdenChildren will have the chance to enjoy horseback riding in the brown riding arena and have fun at the rabbit hop under the lime trees. They can also participate in egg painting and have their faces beautifully painted. The open-air cottages where the animals live will be accessible, along with all the exhibitions, including the newly opened display on Historical Saddles (“Saddlery: From Gothic to Present”), the upgraded Forge with a carpentry shop, and an expanded children’s play area called Story Soil. Look forward to demonstrations of natural Easter egg decorating at the Farm, plus stalls featuring unique Easter goods.

EDEN Tourist Centre – A Journey Back in Time

The Eden Centre located in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem is a farm where Easter at Edenthe past blends seamlessly with the future. The interactive exhibits here provide visitors with insights into life at the manor and in the village. Among these exhibits is a replica of a Highland village from the late 19th century and a modern eco-pavilion shaped like a pyramid. The part of this pavilion that is buried underground next to the farmhouse showcases energy-efficient technologies in residential buildings and features 14 different heating methods in operation.

Visitors can try their hand at old crafts in the buildings of the nearby village. There is a baking oven in the mill for making bread, and another cottage houses a loom. At the farmhouse, you can explore not just a brewery and cider house, but also a herbal pharmacy along with workshops for carpentry and blacksmithing. Downstairs in the manor yard, there is an exhibition focused on land cultivation, while upstairs, an exhibit immerses you in the manor’s living space.
