Discover Holešovice: Prague’s Hotspot for Summer Fun!

This summer, Holešovice is poised to become a lively hotspot with the introduction of Areál7, an exciting new multipurpose venue set to open its doors on May 2 and 3.
The grand opening will feature the highly anticipated launch of its Beer Garden, offering free admission and a carefree festival atmosphere for all attendees.
Areál7 becomes part of a vibrant network of cultural venues including the popular Holešovice Market, Výstaviště, Vnitroblock, and the legendary Cross Club, all contributing to the transformation of this neighborhood into a thriving center for summer culture, music, and sports events.
From May 9 to 25, visitors to Areál7’s Beer Garden can enjoy the Ice Hockey World Championship shown on large outdoor screens, fostering a lively atmosphere reminiscent of a sports stadium for fans supporting the Czech national team as well as those interested in other international games.
“With years of experience in the industry, we have always sought the perfect outdoor location that could accommodate top-tier performances without disturbing the neighbors, and we are thrilled to have created it right here in Holešovice,” remarked Filip Lipovský, the managing director of Areál7.
The team behind Areál7 has made their commitment to the community clear by publishing a code of ethics on their website, which includes priorities such as managing noise levels, ensuring public safety, promoting ecological responsibility, and maintaining open communication with local residents.
This summer, the Holešovice Market will be alive with celebrations, marking 130 years since the establishment of the former royal slaughterhouse.
The festivities will include a pop-up event in Hall 17 featuring live concerts, engaging talks, and a café with creative displays, along with a multi-sensory gastro-performance called BEEF, which will serve 11 unique courses in an entertaining theatrical atmosphere.
At the Water Tower, visitors will have the opportunity to see an elaborate reconstruction of what the market looked like at the time of its inception.
