Join Us for an Enchanting Celebration of Bohuslav Fuchs: A Guided Carriage Ride and Theatrical Performance

This yearβs Open House Brno carries the theme of discovering the contributions and legacies that architects and city planners have left for Brno, both in the past and in the current time. A key figure within the architectural scene of Brno is certainly Bohuslav Fuchs. Visitors at Open House Brno will have the chance to learn about him not only through his renowned buildings but also during pre-festival activities scheduled for the final weekend in April, specifically on 26 and 27 April 2025. This unique opportunity will allow visitors to engage with the well-known architect and urban planner, seeing him in his roles as a husband and father.
In celebration of the 130th anniversary of Bohuslav Fuchsβ birth, the organizers have put together a special program that features site-specific cultural experiences and non-traditional routes that will familiarize you with many of the significant structures designed by this influential architect in Brno. The project named Bohuslav Fuchs: architect, husband, father aims to provide a personal look into Fuchsβ life, showcasing buildings that reflect key moments in both his professional and personal journey.
