Unmissable Free Outdoor Concert in Beautiful Prague!

Celebrations for International Jazz Day are set to make a return to Prague’s Karlovo náměstí on April 30, featuring the spring edition of the Mladí ladí jazz Open Air festival.

Attendees can look forward to exciting live performances by 7krát3 & live band, Bassolino, Undo Redo, and Kosmonauci. Admission is completely free, with optional contributions available through the GoOut platform.

This year’s main act, 7krát3, whose real name is Štěpán Hebík, will take the stage with a full live band. He is celebrated for his whimsical lyrics and has collaborated with well-known artists like Jiří Korn and PSH. Hailing from České Budějovice, he swiftly gained recognition with two successful albums and numerous Anděl Award nominations, earning the title of Singer of the Year in 2020.

Joining from Naples, Italy, is the international guest Dario Bassolino. A talented composer, pianist, and producer, Bassolino effortlessly blends jazz, funk, and disco. He has worked with various artists, including LNDFK and jazz-funk legend Nicola Conte. His performances are characterized by spontaneous improvisation, providing audiences with a distinctive and authentic musical experience.

The Polish band Kosmonauci will also perform, merging their jazz roots with elements of hip-hop, drum & bass, and improvisation. With an eclectic lineup that features vibraphone, saxophone, bass guitar, and drums, their vibrant style fluctuates between touching melodies and dynamic polyrhythms.

Completing the lineup is local project Undo Redo. Formed by Michal Šupák and Jakub Tengler from Noisy Pots along with multi-instrumentalist Antonín Dlapa from Prago Union, this trio blends jazz with electronic sounds, African-American influences, and classical music. They recently showcased their talent at the prestigious Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival.

Concerts will kick off at 4:00 PM and continue until just before 8:00 PM.

Supported by UNESCO since 2012, International Jazz Day honors jazz’s integral part in fostering peace and cultural understanding. The celebration in Prague at Karlovo náměstí has grown to be one of the largest jazz events in Czechia, earning accolades from both attendees and International Jazz Day organizers.
