Exciting New Glass Gallery, Kodl Contemporary, Set to Debut in Prague in 2025!

A new exhibition venue called Kodl Contemporary is scheduled to open in Prague by the end of 2025.

This three-story glass gallery will be situated on Dvořákovo nábřeží, adjacent to the recently renovated Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel, which was formerly known as the InterContinental Hotel.

The idea for the gallery originates from Jakub Kodl, the youngest member of the esteemed Czech art collector family associated with the Galerie Kodl auction house.

Kodl chose a glass cube design to fully utilize natural light, ensuring that each exhibited piece is highlighted, thereby enhancing the overall visual experience for attendees.

Although a specific opening date has yet to be announced, final touches on construction and interior design are actively in progress.

Kodl Contemporary aims to present contemporary Czech art to a global audience, elevate its prestige, and enhance the market value of the works created by individual artists.

“To achieve this goal, we are forging partnerships with renowned international galleries, leading curators, and top-tier artists, which will help create new avenues for cultural exchange,” said Tereza Kaslová, the head of communications, on the gallery’s official website.
