Don’t Miss Out: Free Concerts Kick Off This May in Prague’s Stunning Wallenstein Garden!

The Wallenstein Garden, located in Malá Strana, will once again host its beloved series of free classical concerts, starting this May and running through September 2025.
Organized by the Senate of the Czech Republic, this event—known as Valdštejnské léto—provides the public with an opportunity to enjoy live music in one of Prague’s most enchanting settings, all at no cost.
This year’s first concerts are scheduled for May 15, 22, and 29, with each concert beginning promptly at 5:00 PM. The garden is conveniently situated right next to the Malostranská metro station, ensuring easy access for both residents and tourists alike.
These concerts draw in not only music enthusiasts but also families, students, and casual visitors who want to spend a delightful evening in one of Prague’s most exquisite gardens.
This summer-long concert series has become a staple of Prague’s cultural scene, often showcasing premier musicians and ensembles from across the Czech Republic.
This early Baroque garden was commissioned alongside the construction of the Wallenstein Palace, which took place from 1623 to 1629 by Albrecht of Wallenstein, who was then one of the most influential noblemen in Czech history.
Within the garden, which is divided into several distinct sections, visitors can admire peacocks, observe beautiful fish and ducks swimming in the garden pond, and see ospreys in the aviary.
The original statues found here were crafted by the renowned Dutch sculptor Adriaen De Vries. One of the garden’s most unique features is the artificial dripstone wall adorned with grottoes.
