Exciting Fusion of Golf, Wellness, Majestic Mountains, and Castles

One of the key golf events in the Czech Republic, the D+D REAL Czech Masters, will take a break for a year in 2025. While the Czech Masters won’t occur in 2025, the schedule for the lower-tier Challenge Tour remains the same. The eighth edition of the Cascade Golf Challenge is set to happen at Brno Kaskáda from June 12 to 15, and the thirteenth edition of the D+D REAL Czech Challenge will be held from July 10 to 13 in Beroun. These events have become essential highlights of the Czech golf calendar.

The Czech PGA Tour 2025 will feature three tournaments, with the Czech PGA Stroke Play Championship taking place at Austerlitz Golf Resort from May 20 to 23, the LB Open from June 20 to 21 at Spa Bohdaneč, and the season-ending Grand Finale at Kaskada Golf Resort scheduled for October 2 to 5.

Golf & Spa

Golf is now accessible to more than just successful businesspeople or dedicated athletes. In recent years, countless new players have started enjoying the game. For these newcomers and everyone else, we have some suggestions for great golf venues—especially for those looking to combine golfing with a relaxing spa getaway. In the areas of Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně, where the roots of Czech golf lie, the golfing tradition thrives to this day. You’ll discover a variety of interesting courses here, including the well-known Golf Resort Karlovy Vary and the Royal Golf Club, which was inaugurated on August 21, 1905, with the honored presence of King Edward VII of England. A significant moment in the club’s history occurred in 2003, when Queen Elizabeth II of Britain granted it the right to carry the designation of Royal Golf Club.

Golf & Mountains

If you love scenic mountain views, enjoy both golfing and the spectacular landscapes at the Golf & Ski Resort Ostravice or the Prosper Golf Resort Čeladná, a well-known golf destination celebrated for its challenging hilly terrain. This gem is located in the beautiful village of Čeladná, approximately 35 km from Ostrava, and consistently ranks among the country’s top courses. Starting in 2024, both of these courses will be part of the 55 Holes Golf Destination, which is the largest golf resort in the Czech Republic.

A breathtaking view of the Giant Mountains, including the highest peak Sněžka, can be enjoyed from the greens of Golf Club Mladé Buky. Additionally, you might want to check out the Golf Club Liberec, which features an eighteen-hole course on the northern slopes of Mount Ještěd. This club also provides a unique glamping experience in brand-new houseboats, not to mention the fact that it offers the highest hole in the Czech Republic, located in the nine-hole complex at Cínovec in the Ore Mountains, at an elevation of around 870 meters.

Golf & Big Cities

On the eastern edge of Prague, you will find the modern Golf Resort Black Bridge waiting to welcome golf lovers. However, you might also consider one of the many splendid courses in the Central Bohemian Region. These are conveniently located not far from Prague and often offer a lot more than you might expect. For instance, the Loreta Golf Club Pyšely course is designed by the British architect Keith Preston. You can encounter Prague’s golf and business elite at the Albatross Golf Resort, while Golf Mladá Boleslav presents a different sort of challenge with a record-breaking long par-five hole measuring 652 meters.

Have you ever seen a golf course with a tower that resembles a mining tower? That’s what you’ll find at the Karviná-Lipiny Golf Resort, located on the outskirts of Ostrava. Moreover, the Austerlitz Golf Resort Slavkov u Brna is also just a short drive away from Brno.

Golf & Castles

It’s well-known that our country is rich in castles, and we at Where to Go from Boredom are keen to let golfers discover unique experiences amidst the exquisite surroundings of beautiful castle parks.

In the Central Bohemian Region, the Golf Resort Karlštejn is a major attraction for golfers. It is considered one of the prettiest golf courses in Europe and is among the most popular resorts in the Czech Republic. The Konopiště Golf Resort also provides a wonderful experience for visitors, while in the Moravian-Silesian region, the golf course in the park at Kravaře Castle or the one at Šilheřovice Castle will surely captivate you.
