Hynek, Jarmila, May, and Seagull

Poppy LakeThe history of boating on Lake Macha dates back to 1920 when the small steamer Greif was introduced. Today, what boats are sailing on the beautiful surface of Lake Mácha? One notable ship is the passenger ship Jarmila, known for being the smallest and oldest in the fleet, celebrating its upcoming 100th anniversary. Built in 1924 in Berlin, it still operates and can carry 60 passengers. Another member of our fleet is Hynek, which was also constructed in Berlin in 1930. This fifteen-meter-long vessel has a partially covered deck and can accommodate 70 passengers.

The newest addition to our fleet is the Seagull, which first set sail in Budapest back in 1966. This boat provides comfortable seating for up to 160 guests and is available for rental for private events, parties, weddings, or corporate gatherings. Our flagship vessel is the impressive 30-meter May; if you plan to use the regular service during the holidays, you’re likely to travel on this boat, which connects all eight marinas on the lake and can hold up to 250 passengers. You won’t find a larger vessel sailing on Lake Macha.
