Unveiling Spa Season 2025 in Czechia: Your Ultimate Escape Awaits!

Spa Industry as One of the Pillars of Domestic Tourism
The spa season in Czechia is alive and bustling with a variety of festivals, spring blessings, concerts, and themed events taking place throughout the country. Domestic spas are continually updating their facilities, enhancing treatments, and developing public spaces. This year, both traditionalists and those seeking modern relaxation will find something to delight them. The spa industry effectively combines health care and tourism, playing a vital role in attracting international visitors to Czechia.

“In terms of spa accommodation, the Karlovy Vary Region is the clear leader, accounting for 51% of total overnight stays. Nearly 95% of these visits come from foreign guests. Interestingly, the average stay in this region is the shortest in the country. The most frequent visitors include individuals from Germany, Taiwan, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Israel,” states František Reismüller, Director of the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism. He adds: “This enduring interest in Czech spas arises not only from spa stays but also from exceptional natural conditions, distinctive architecture, local cuisine, and a variety of relaxation services, establishing these spas as year-round destinations. Spa towns also serve as cultural hubs, featuring fascinating architecture, set away from the bustle of large cities in beautiful countryside, making them an ideal backdrop for active exploration. We recognize this potential; hence, the spa industry remains a key theme in our promotional campaigns, including our global campaign that kicked off on May 1. We have long been promoting the spa experience in both international and domestic markets.”

Spring Spa Festival as an Experience for All the Senses
“The regular spring opening ceremonies of the spa season are well-established cultural highlights across spa locations and rightly draw media and public attention to the industry and the regions. Some areas celebrate with the blessing of springs, while others have parades featuring historical figures, flower-filled parks, performances, markets, and delicious food. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit the spas, exploring options for health, relaxation, or cultural and culinary journeys,” emphasizes Eduard Bláha, President of the Union of Therapeutic Spas.

Generally, when guests decide to visit a spa, they’re looking to enjoy its offerings. There’s a rising interest in shorter trial stays, allowing guests to sample treatments and learn how the spa operates. If satisfied, they might return for a longer visit. Spa facilities are ready to accommodate this type of clientele, making the season opening an ideal introduction.
