The T. G. M. Rakovník Museum and the historic Royal Town of Rakovník warmly invite everyone to celebrate the special occasion of Rakovník being designated as a royal town by attending the traditional event known as High Gate 2025.

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, you can witness a spectacular historic parade and also be among the first this season to ascend the gallery of the High Gate.

The High Street will be buzzing all day with splendid activities, featuring fencing demonstrations, music, lively dance, and juggling performances. Just above the High Gate, visitors can explore the medieval camp organized by the Medieval Military History Club.

At the Prague Gate, delightful puppet fairy tales will be staged, captivating our younger audience. The festivities will also include the Corps of Rakovník Sharpshooters, showcasing their skilled shooting at the Prague Gate. Throughout the day, there will be historic stalls offering a variety of goods, tasty food, and refreshing beverages.

For our youngest guests, there will be an exciting assortment of skills competitions with sweet prizes awaiting the winners. Knights will engage in thrilling battles on a makeshift arena, while agile performers and talented jugglers will showcase their impressive skills.
