Discover Exciting Exhibitions at the National Museum of Agriculture on May 18

Museums are essential places of learning that help us understand history and introduce us to fresh ideas. Every year, on May 18, we honor the importance of museums in our society with International Museum Day. Join us in celebrating this day at the National Museum of Agriculture! While exploring the permanent exhibitions in Prague, you’ll also have the chance to grow a plant hydroponically or take a look at a fallout shelter from the 1950s, located beneath the National Museum of Agriculture in Prague.
Along with exciting experiences in Prague, the National Museum of Agriculture will also give you a unique opportunity to access the usually closed depository of the National Museum of Agriculture in Čáslav. This special opening will take place on May 18, 2025, and visitors will be able to explore selected areas, including technical facilities, during the tour. This year’s Depository Open Day is set for Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. The new facility mainly serves the Prague, Čáslav, and Kačina branches, and contains nearly half of the various sub-collections and collections. The depository is situated within the conservation and restoration workshop, which is dedicated to protecting and preserving collection items. The entrance fee will be 150 CZK.
