Celebrate the Day of the Majestic Kladruby Horse in Kladruby nad Labem

This year’s Old Cladruby Horse Day is scheduled for the last Saturday in May, specifically on May 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The venue, which consists of historical buildings, along with a showcase of the remarkable abilities of not only Old Cladruby horses, guarantees a unique experience for all attendees. The main program in the courtyard of the Kladrub Stud Farm will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will include a total of fifteen performances featuring nearly one hundred horses and charming vintage carriages.
The gates of the stud farm will open at 9:30 a.m.. During the morning hours, visitors can enjoy the Imperial Riding Hall, which will feature a presentation of the newly restored historical carriage known as Mylord, dating back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, crafted by the workshop of Hynek Krpat. Until 12:00 p.m., guests will have the opportunity for free entry to selected stables.
Breeding demonstrations, carriages, Hungarian post, and pushball
The Old Cladruby Horse Day will officially kick off in the courtyard of the Kladrub Stud Farm at 10:00 a.m. with a traditional thirty-minute breeding demonstration featuring Old Cladruby horses. At 11:00 a.m., the arrival of Emperor Rudolf II is anticipated, marking 450 years since his coronation as King of Bohemia. The main program in the courtyard will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will present fifteen performances, including a grand carriage showcase, the Hungarian Post (where the rider stands on the backs of two or more horses, typically two or four), fast-paced chariot races, and a free herd of mares with their foals.
In addition, there will be exciting performances by guests from the stud farms in Písek and Tlumačov, along with a demonstration of pushball (which is essentially horse football) performed by students from the Secondary School of Horse Breeding and Riding in Kladruby nad Labem. The Day of the Old Cladruby Horse is proudly supported by Minister of Agriculture Marek Výborný, the Ministry of Culture, and the Governor of the Pardubice Region, Martin Netolický.
General admission for the Old Cladruby Horse Day is set at 350 crowns; discounted tickets for youths, students, and seniors over 65 are available for CZK 200. A family ticket (for two adults and children/youth aged 6-17) costs 800 CZK. Admission is free for children up to 6 years old, individuals with disabilities, and their companions.
