Get Ready for the Čejkovice Wine Festival This Saturday

Čejkovice Wine Festival is back again! Around thirty local winemakers will present their products. The oldest among them, the wine cooperative Templářské sklepy Čejkovice, invites you to explore their company shop, or to check out the Čejkovice viewpoint. Please note that the tour route for the Templar cellars will be closed starting February 2025 due to renovation work. All the wines on display, including special varieties, are available for tasting as well as for purchase for your collection. Entertainment will include dulcimer music and guided tours of the castle. The T. G. Masaryk House and the Sonnentor Herb Paradise, featuring the Solis ecological building, will also be welcoming visitors.

This weekend, the wine market offers fun activities for everyone, not just for adults. The Čejkovice Wine Festival will officially kick off on Saturday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. with a festive opening ceremony in the chateau courtyard. All day long, you can enjoy traditional dulcimer music from Neoveská, performances by the Révokaz Male Choir of Čejkovice, and the Levandula Female Choir. Later in the evening, from 20:00 to midnight, a lively dance party featuring the band Umberto will take place in the castle courtyard.

On Sunday, June 8, you can buy wines at individual wineries from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Come and taste the wonderful wines, including varieties from the 2024 vintage that you can sample and also purchase right in Čejkovice. An all-day pass for Saturday’s events is priced at 700 CZK, and if you’re interested in tasting individual samples, you need to buy special drinking glasses (1 drinking glass costs 10 CZK; a wine sample is 0.5 dcl); typically, a sample of wine ranges from 2-4 glasses.
