Czechia Unveils Exciting New Exhibition at IMEX Frankfurt 2025!

This year, IMEX emerged as a pivotal event in the MICE industry. A total of 13,335 participants gathered, leading to over 67,000 scheduled meetings. Among them were 4,466 buyers from 97 countries, including 3,489 hosted buyers. Most attendees hailed from Germany (24%), the United States (11%), and the United Kingdom (10%). Notably, agencies played a vital role, making up 69% of all buyers. The purchasing potential was impressive, with 21% of buyers reporting budgets that exceed €10 million.
The Czech stand showcased representatives from convention centers, hotels, DMC agencies, and regional convention bureaus, including the Prague Convention Bureau and Brno Convention Bureau. There was significant interest in various regions, particularly those offering unique venues for events, such as castles, chateaux, and locations with a strong emphasis on sustainability.
“We are delighted with the growing demand for incentive travel outside the capital. New opportunities are opening up for regions that provide authentic environments and specific experiences that are increasingly sought after,” said Tereza Hofman, Director of Product Management, Research and B2B Cooperation.
The day before the fair commenced, the third annual global meeting of national convention bureaus, traditionally organized by the Strategic Alliance of European National Convention Bureaus, took place. “The aim of these meetings is to foster cooperation with non-European countries and involve them in the activities the European alliance is currently focusing on. This year, we discussed not only sustainability but also the overall contribution of the congress industry. The interest from distant countries grows each year, presenting us with opportunities to gain know-how from nations in Asia, Australia, and the USA,” added Tereza Hofman.
In the autumn, the Czech Republic will participate in two additional global MICE fairs: IMEX America in Las Vegas, scheduled for October 7-9, 2025, and IBTM Barcelona from November 18-20, 2025.
