After undergoing two years of extensive renovations, the Prague Planetarium is finally set to welcome visitors once again, and it promises a genuinely groundbreaking technology. With the modernization efforts and the installation of the first fully digital LED planetarium in Europe—an impressive feat as it’s also the largest in the world—the Prague Planetarium is now among the finest observatories globally. This transformation significantly enhances how we, as inhabitants of Earth, connect with and experience the vastness of outer space.
The innovative system provides extraordinary contrast, brightness, and clarity that, combined with the expansive dome, delivers a captivating immersive visual experience. When gazing up at the stars, visitors may feel as though they have truly entered the realm of infinity.
Technological Revolution
Through collaboration with Cosm Technology, the planetarium has introduced an exceptional LED system that offers up to one hundred times more light output in comparison to conventional projectors, resulting in unmatched contrast and image authenticity.
The main auditorium, named Cosmorama, boasts a diameter of 23.5 meters and can accommodate up to 210 guests. The dome towers above the hall to an impressive height of 15 meters.

Located conveniently nearby is the Prague Exhibition Grounds, where the roofs of the Křižík Pavilions have been transformed into stunning green terraces.
