Alanis Morissette Set to Rock Metronome Prague 2025

metronomeThe Metronome Prague 2025 festival is the first big international music and art celebration happening in Prague. The 8th edition will be held at the Prague Exhibition Centre from June 19th to 21st, 2025. Each year, thanks to its wide variety, the event attracts audiences of all ages and musical tastes. It showcases the latest trends in modern music but also pays homage to classic songs and artists across various genres.

The lineup features many major artists from around the globe, with names like Alanis Morissette, Rag’n’Bone Man, Die Antwoord, The Streets, and Tommy Cash. Additionally, there will be emerging talents from the UK, including singer Nxdia and one of today’s hottest young guitar bands, HotWax. Special performances will be given by Thom Artway, Barbora Poláková, Klára Vytisková, MikAel, and Polish singer Sarah James. Czech rock legend Michal Prokop and his band Framus Five will unveil their new album, “Ostraka,” at the festival, and there will also be a unique performance by Jasná Páka with David Koller, featuring singer Dáda Albrecht for her second appearance with them.

Three days of musical bliss

The renowned rocker and blues musician Michal Prokop will perform live to kick off his new album, “Ostraka,” at the Moon Club, joined by Framus Five. Afterward, Jasná Páka with David Koller will take the stage, marking the second performance of singer Dáda Albrecht with them. Another exciting act will be Monika Naceva, a key figure in Czech alternative music. Fans of rap will also be thrilled, as Metronome Prague will introduce a unique genre stage on Thursday, June 19.

Metronome FestivalOn Friday, June 20, a jaw-dropping surprise will be delivered by Tommy Cash, an Estonian rapper and artist known for blending music and visual art. He gained attention at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with his catchy song, “Espresso Macchiato,” which took third place! Another highlight is Nxdia, a British singer-songwriter of Egyptian descent captivating Generation Z with her emotional voice and modern pop vibe. Don’t miss HotWax, a UK trio infusing raw garage rock with grunge and punk energy. Lastly, singer-songwriter Thom Artway offers a mix of melancholy and upbeat folk-pop that will resonate with many.

Alanis MorissetteOn Saturday, June 21, Metronome Prague 2025 will reach its peak with an incredible All Stars Night! The standout performers will include Alanis Morissette, a legendary and ironic artist who has won 7 Grammys and sold over 75 million records. Her deeply emotional songs, like “Thank U,” “Ironic,” and “You Oughta Know,” will leave a lasting impression. British singer-songwriter Rag’n’Bone Man will rock the Main Stage with his unique combination of blues, soul, and hip-hop. Also, joining the lineup is Die Antwoord, a well-known rap-rave group from South Africa that has been merging electronic music with rap since 2008. The Fontana stage will host remarkable Czech singers who have won multiple Andel Awards: Aneta Langerová, Bára Poláková, and Klara Vytiskova. The grand finale of Saturday night will be led by Mike Skinner and his crew The Streets, a British rapper celebrated for his authenticity, making him a favorite among festival-goers.

An expanded program including museums and galleries

GalleryThis year, Metronome Prague 2025 isn’t just about amazing music. The eighth edition will feature an exciting supporting program that expands beyond the Prague Exhibition Grounds for the very first time! With the unique Metronome tram line, a connection will be established between prestigious galleries and museums located all over the city. Stops will include places like the National Gallery, Kunsthalle, Rudolfinum Gallery, Kampa Museum, the Mozart Interactive Museum, and Praga Magica. Thanks to the cooperation with the Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague, the Metronome tram line will run on June 20 and 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., operating between Výstaviště Praha and Bíla Swan every 20-25 minutes, and it will be free of charge! Attendees of Metronome Prague 2025 will also enjoy free admission to all participating museums and galleries.

gastroAt Metronome Prague, everyone can enjoy delicious food without long waits. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, a frutarian, or simply a fan of good food, there are options for everyone. There will be a sprawling 500 m2 area filled with bars and food stands offering local and exotic specialties, all facilitated by an efficient cashless payment system. The variety includes high-quality drinks, from alcohol-free choices to local beers from small breweries and renowned brands, wines from Moravia, and other regions like Italy, France, Spain, or South Africa, as well as mixed drinks. Furthermore, the gastro zone will operate in an environmentally friendly manner, utilizing returnable cups and ensuring all vendors use biodegradable or recyclable utensils.

Clean facilities will feature modern toilets with running water, including hot water. The refreshment stations will be organized into two zones for improved efficiency, and there will be plenty of seating available. In addition to numerous chillout areas, attendees can relax in the Metronome lounge under the cool shade of the Stromovka trees.

Tickets for Metronome Prague 2025 are currently available at a price of 4,290 crowns for a three-day pass for adults. A single day ticket for Friday is priced at 1,990 crowns, while Saturday’s is 3,490 crowns. Children aged up to 12 years can get a three-day pass for only 290 CZK, and youths aged 12 to 21 can enjoy the festival for 1,990 CZK for the same three-day period. There are also discounted rates for individuals with disabilities.
