World’s Top Water Slalom Racers Clash in Prague

From Thursday to Sunday, specifically 26 – 29 June 2025 , we will witness the Water Slalom World Cup featuring elite kayakers and canoeists from nearly forty countries (originally, the race was set to start on Thursday but was canceled due to high water levels). Typically, there will be 341 boats participating from over 40 countries. This year, there will also be an exciting event called kayak cross or extreme slalom. This event is a contact sport where 4 boats face off against each other simultaneously! A new addition this year is the short slalom, which will occur on Friday, 27th June. The race will last around 60 seconds and feature roughly 12 gates. This fresh format allows participants to compete for two sets of medals, emulating the kayak cross events where medals are awarded for both time trials and elimination rounds. A thrilling experience awaits both competitors and viewers. On Friday, competitors will take part in the short slalom; Saturday will highlight Slalom, and Sunday will be dedicated to kayak cross.

Tickets for the World Cup in water slalom taking place in Prague this year are available only online for 200 CZK. You can watch live broadcasts of the World Cup on CT Sport. There is also a chance to view the water slalom live stream for free on this channel’s online platform.
