ChemiS: A Global Street Art Sensation
In Prague, and beyond, you’ll discover remarkable and visually striking murals crafted by the talented artist known as ChemiS. One of his notable creations is a heartfelt mural depicting a Ukrainian girl who is safeguarding fairytale characters beneath the national flag, located at (Mojmírova 116/2, Prague 4). Just a short distance away, near the Otakarova tram stop, you can find an inspiring mural that portrays lungs enriched with natural and animal motifs, symbolizing the significance of health and clean air.
Another extraordinary artwork by ChemiS pays tribute to the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders. This mural, located at the intersection of Nádražní and Vltavská Streets in Prague, features a QR code that passers-by can scan, allowing the mural to come to life through animation.
Cosmic Art at the Airport
Close to Václav Havel Airport in Prague lies one of the largest outdoor murals globally, stretching an impressive 350 metres in length. This expansive piece is most visible during take-offs and landings on the airport’s primary runway.
