The Sedlec Cathedral is remarkable; while the creator’s name remains unknown, we know it was shaped into its current form by the brilliant architect Jan Blažej Santini during the 18th century. He is a master of both Baroque and Gothic styles and designed many structures that skillfully blend light with numerical and visual symbolism. The Night Tour of Sedlec Cathedral occurs every Monday from 7 July to 25 August. The tour starts off with the singing of Cistercian hymns, which will then guide you through the cathedral’s various nooks by candlelight, accompanied by Gregorian chants and organ music. You’ll witness areas where monks, along with relics of saints, are embedded within the walls, the Santini Staircase, and the church treasury housing the oldest surviving Gothic monstrance globally. Visitors can also stop by the church cinema for a showing of an enjoyable animated film suitable for both kids and adults and savor the unique Sedlec monstrance wine, which is exclusively available in Sedlec. The tour kicks off every Monday at **8:00 PM** and concludes around **9:30 PM**. The entry fee is **290 CZK for adults**, **190 CZK for students and seniors**, while children under six are free.
