Celebrate Eight Years of Adventure on the Treetop Trail in Janské Lázně

Veverčák Krkonoše MountainsThe treetop trail located in Janské Lázně was officially opened on July 2, 2017. This week marks a significant milestone as it celebrates its 8th birthday. Visitors are invited to join in the festivities on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. During this exciting occasion, guests can enjoy an incredible stunt show, watch talented parkour artists performing their acrobatic skills, and won’t miss out on seeing skilled woodcutters. Children have a special program featuring fairy tale characters and beloved mascots, Emil and Emilka. All of this will be set to live music for everyone to enjoy.

treetop trailThis attraction, located just outside of Janské Lázně, has quickly become a favorite activity in the Krkonoše region. The observation tower stands at an impressive 45 metres high, while the main path of the trail allows visitors to walk at a height of 24 metres. The entire route stretches 1,511 metres through the treetops and even features a slide for some extra fun. If guests get hungry while enjoying their visit, they can dine at the Trail Restaurant, where delicious Czech traditional dishes are served. There’s also a relaxing terrace at the restaurant, right next to a kids’ playground known as Emil’s Forest World. Access to Emil’s Forest World is completely free for all visitors of the Trail, letting children enjoy the new slides, climbing frames, and a trampoline. Tickets can be purchased at the Trail box office or online through the e-shop.

The trail attracts acrobats, woodchucks and parkour

Each year, the Krkonoše Treetop Trails introduce new experiences that not only attract fresh visitors but also encourage those who have been there before to return for another adventure. They’ll get to encounter one-of-a-kind attractions and may even have the chance to participate in various activities. During this year’s celebration, attendees can watch stunt performers showcase the amazing secrets and risks of their profession. Participants can also try out some basic parkour techniques, which involve overcoming different obstacles while learning about this exciting sport. Talented woodcarvers will display their incredible skills as well. Children are in for a treat with programs featuring fairy tale characters and mascots Emil and Emilka, and they can explore 5 fun stations along the trail, completing various tasks.
There will also be a special birthday cake, which the organizers will cut ceremoniously and share with all the visitors.

The Giant Mountains offer an amazing paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Besides the Trail, visitors can also explore the nearby Černohorské peat bog nature trail, which is situated just off the top of Černá Hora. Peat has never been mined here, allowing the local peat bog to be one of the rare spots in Central Europe where you can admire wild and untouched nature. After enjoying a leisurely walk on Černá Hora, a journey can continue to Pec pod Sněžkou or even up to our highest peak, Sněžka.
