Stars of Stage and Sound Rise to Entertain
Seven Mountains Summer 2025 starts on July 1 and runs until August 21. One of its great features is that it’s not just limited to a single day; it offers cultural events for its audience throughout the entire summer. This year’s festival will follow the same exciting pattern. Many stars from the music and acting fields are set to entertain.
Theatre Summer in the Seven Mountains
As always, the festival features prominent names in theater. It kicks off on the stage in Sedmihorky near Turnov on July 1 with the play A Visit to Kill, showcasing talents like Tatiana Medvecká, Sabina Laurinová, and Matouš Ruml. This play by the Kalich Theatre tells the story of Peter and Debbie, a typical British couple in their middle ages. Their relationship is feeling the strain from work, and their kids are hitting the tricky teenage years, which makes things even more difficult… Just when they thought it couldn’t get any more complicated, an eccentric American named Elsa, whom they met on a cruise, shows up at their door with a mysterious hint that they need to reconnect.
A week later, on July 8, the second play will be performed, titled Without Prejudice, featuring Jana Paulová and Pavel Zedníček. This comedy takes place in a motel where Diego and Fiona, friends for many years, unexpectedly find themselves sharing the only available room for the night. This shared experience gives them the chance to discuss openly the topics that women often hesitate to bring up with men and vice versa.
The third performance is set for July 29, titled Tick Tock, which offers a unique comedic perspective from a psychiatrist’s waiting room. In this play, you will see Tereza Kostková, Kristýna Frejová, Šárka Kubíková, Josef Polášek, Václav Knop, and Jaromír Nosek.
Musical Summer in the Seven Mountains
The musical program begins on July 22 with a performance by The Cello Boys. This trio, consisting of Ladislav Mariaš, Zachar Fedorov, and Jakub Koci, will delight audiences with their interpretations of popular songs and their original music, using two electric cellos and a drum kit.
The second musical event of this year’s Sedmihorski Summer, a tribute to Karel Svoboda, will feature vocalists Pavlína Ďuriačová and Lukáš Randák. This tribute concert is scheduled for August 5.
Show at the Seven Hills
On Monday, August 18, get ready for the Techtle Mechtle summer special. This Czech travesti show will present its exciting summer performance.
To wrap up the festival, make sure to attend on August 21 for the closing show titled Martin Hranac’s Crazy Talkshow or How to Survive Failure.
Tickets for Sedmihor Summer
The Summer of the Seven Mountains offers VIP tickets, which allow attendees to enjoy an up-close cultural experience from the best seats, along with perks for more comfortable seating and even a welcome drink. Audience members can select from various ticket options with different prices, including traditionally less expensive tickets without specific seating, making it accessible for everyone.
Concerts and theater performances typically start at 8 PM, with venues opening an hour and a half earlier. The events will proceed regardless of the weather, so bringing suitable clothing, such as blankets, raincoats, is advisable. The seating area is partially covered.
