Major Power Outage Strikes Prague and Czechia on July 4, 2025!

The Airport is Functioning Normally

The recent blackout has caused significant disruptions, bringing tram and metro services across much of Prague to a complete halt. This unexpected event has also impacted various operations, including shops, restaurants, and ATMs.

Fortunately, metro services in Prague are beginning to resume, and tram lines are gradually being restored to full functionality. Nonetheless, it’s important to note that some trains leaving Prague are still not operational or are experiencing considerable delays. Despite these challenges, Václav Havel Airport in Prague is currently reported to be operating as normal.
