This hike not only offers breathtaking views but also takes you through an enchanting mountain forest. Moreover, Velká Javořina serves as a traditional meeting spot for Czechs and Slovaks, adding deep significance, making it a favored destination for tourists from both nations. The traditional Celebration of the Brotherhood of Czechs and Slovaks at Javořina will happen again on 26-27 July 2025. The Javorina Tour occurs on Saturday, July 26, with the main festivities on Sunday <strong, July 27, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..
The White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area is renowned for its remarkable biodiversity, especially its flower-filled meadows, rare plants (like orchids), and time-honored farming practices, including meadow mowing. You can participate in the traditional mowing of the White Carpathian meadows in Wallachian Hats from 28 June to 5 July 2025 or from 6 to 13 July 2025. You can choose to stay for any duration during these dates. Ideally, you should arrive on Friday, but you are welcome to come and go as you wish. This event has been organized by the Kosenka association for 40 years. Learn the art of mowing with a scythe in the rare mountain meadows of Wallachian Hats. This includes traditional mowing and lessons on nature, landscape, and human conservation.
Musical Gatherings in the White Carpathians and Theatre Luhačovice
Culture enriches life, and the folklore festival Meeting of Musicians in the White Carpathians is a major event in Valašské Klobouky. This international music festival will occur from 8 – 10 August 2025 and will also feature a gastrofestival showcasing local and international cuisine and competitions like Wallachian Frgal 2025. The festival offers a diverse musical lineup, with rock on Friday, popular music on Saturday, and a Sunday highlighted by folk and brass bands. Notably, Kamil Střihavka & The Leaders will perform on Saturday.
The White Carpathians extend to the health spa town of Luhačovice. While enjoying your stay at the spa, take leisurely walks along beautified springs and boulevards, admire the architectural designs of Dušan Jurkovič, explore the nearby areas, and participate in an array of cultural events. The beloved Luhačovice fair featuring games, music, and various programs will occur on July 13, 2025. The Beer Festival of the Luhačovice Spa Brewery is scheduled for August 16, 2025. Following this, from August 17 to 23, 2025, the annual event Theatre Luhačovice will showcase theatrical performances every day. Early September sees the Slovak Culture Days in Luhačovice, scheduled for September 4-7, 2025, featuring a rich array of programs including music, theater, and film screenings.
