Escape Boredom This Summer at Loučeň Castle
Loučeň Castle is a stunning castle that features a vast park, a maze area, and various attractions. It invites everyone to join in its summer festivities! On Sunday, July 6, we will celebrate the 18th anniversary of the castle’s labyrinths. Since turning 18 is a special milestone, we have a grand celebration planned. Expect balloons, cakes, joyous festivities, and of course, lots of happiness! Throughout the day, guests will be entertained by Her Grace, the White Lady of Lucena, and His Serene Highness Prince Alexander. You can also take a birthday photo in our photo booth, borrow a castle costume and other fun props, or have your face beautifully painted. Additionally, you can spend your day exploring the park and visiting each of the 12 unique labyrinths and mazes.
International Barefoot Hiking Day will be celebrated on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Join us to liberate your feet from shoes and promote better health for you and your children. This event is organized by Loučeň Castle together with the Barefoot Hiking Department of the Czech Tourist Club. Look forward to a 2 km walk without shoes through the castle park, a unique experience of walking barefoot and blindfolded through a sandstone maze, an informative talk about the benefits of going barefoot, and a tactile guided tour of the castle. For the brave, there will even be a challenge of walking on hot coals!
Summer with Robin Hood starts on July 30 and lasts until August 30. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, you’ll meet Robin Hood, Lady Marion, the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham, along with many other enchanting characters. Join the thrilling contest for Lady Marion’s affection and the well-being of England. A full day of fun, stories, and games awaits both children and adults as the Castle Park transforms into Sherwood Forest, a place filled with legendary tales from medieval times. Robin and his team will be eager to recruit new knights from among the guests, training them in archery and tournament skills, while even trying on armor and weapons…
The end of summer is traditionally marked by the beloved Castle Night. This year, it will occur on the nights of August 23-24, when Loučín Castle will remain open all night long! Get ready for a marathon of captivating castle tours that last until dawn. You can choose from a Chocolate Tour, a special tour going through the entire castle from the attic to the church, an adult tour with the White Lady, or even the Aristocratic or Castellan tours. At 3 a.m., don’t miss the Astronomy Tour. The final tour of the night before dawn breaks is set for 5 o’clock in the morning.
