Treetop Trail in the Giant Mountains

Recently, two net playgrounds have been created inside the tower, utilizing ropes and chains on two different levels. These playgrounds can be reached through a net walkway straight from the trail, and they connect via a crawl net tunnel. The new net playgrounds provide exciting and safe fun for all ages. Visitors can jump, play with balls, or simply relax within a network that is more than 20 meters high. A protective net surrounds the area on all sides, and the net on the lower floor is reinforced in three layers for added safety.

This new attraction took about three weeks to install during May and June. Every aspect has been designed with the highest priority on safety and complies with the European safety standard EN 15 567. The installation was a unique engineering challenge since it is integrated into the structure of the Treetop Path. However, with close cooperation between the trail designers, an effective solution was found. Visitors can enjoy this exciting attraction at no extra cost as it’s included in the admission fee. At any given time, 12 visitors can have a fantastic experience at each playground.

The Krkonoš Treetop Trail is situated on the edge of Janské Lázně in the Giant Mountains. This entire educational trail spans 1,511 meters and culminates in a climb up to the 45-meter tall observation tower. Walking through the treetops of the Giant Mountains allows you to view the forest in a completely new light, and the unique underground exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the tiny ecosystem of soil. This trail is ideal for anyone who enjoys Czech nature, actively seeks recreation, and has a desire to learn more about nature.
