If you enjoy exploring historical sites, you can visit the castle in Zinkovy, which is located in the Pilsen region and has a fascinating history that goes back to the 14th century. Knowledgeable guides will lead you through the extensive history of the castle, spanning from its beginnings as a medieval fortress to its romantic redevelopment in the 19th century. Inside, you’ll discover beautiful rooms, a chapel, a castle theatre, an art exhibit, and a wonderful view of the Swan Pond, which is known as the largest pond in the Pilsen area.
On a guided tour lasting about fifty minutes, you will see the exteriors, featuring statues, coat of arms displays, and a clock tower, as well as the interiors, including rooms like the Men’s Lounge, Hunting Lounge, Equestrian Lounge, and Divine Lounge, adorned with paintings of Roman goddesses. You’ll also explore the Neo-Gothic chapel and the castle theatre.

Admission costs 250 CZK for adults, while seniors, ZTP cardholders, and children can enter for 200 CZK. Children in strollers and ZTP/P cardholders can enjoy free entry. Guided tours are available every day from 9 am to 4 pm. The village of Žinkovy is situated 6 kilometers to the west of Nepomuk.
Café and Accommodation at Zinkovy Castle
After your tour of the castle, you can stop by the local café, which is open every day. It serves not just drinks and desserts, but also lunch options and savory snacks to complement your beer.
You can also choose to spend a couple of days enjoying Zinkovy and stay overnight. The chateau has two types of accommodation available. The first is apartments located directly above the café in the building that used to be stables, right next to the castle. The second option is bungalows that are located just behind the castle. Some bungalows offer a nice view of the pond, while others are nestled in the shady woods.
