Embark on a Summer Adventure: Discover the Wine Region 2025 – Excursions from Dolní Věstonice

On July 2nd, specifically on Saturday, July 19. 2025, there will be another exciting journey as part of the series “The Wine Country,” exploring the Moravian Wine Trails. This adventure will allow you to wander by bicycle and on foot to enjoy the aromas of Pálava. Both cyclists and scooter enthusiasts, as well as those who prefer walking, can join. There are three different routes available, each varying in length and difficulty, and all will include multiple stops at fascinating locations. The start and finish will take place in Dolní Věstonice at Goose Patch, where you can register from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and receive your starter package including a map and a stamping passport. Participants will have the option to select from two cycling routes and one walking route, which will lead them through beautiful vineyards, quaint cellar alleys, and scenic viewpoints near the Pálavské and Dunajovice Hills.

The beauty of the Pálava countryside and wine-growing village

The trails will take you through picturesque areas such as Horní Věstonice, Pernou, Novosedly, Březí, and Brod nad Dyjí, showcasing not only stunning natural landscapes but also traditional wine-growing villages with their unique local specialties. Along the route, you can enjoy wine tasting and snacks. This trip to experience the aroma of Pálava is truly one of the highlights of the summer in the Wine Region. It provides an excellent mix of beautiful nature, wine culture, and a relaxed atmosphere that is enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re cycling, walking, or riding a scooter.

You can look forward to refreshments, local wines, and competition stations. Passports that are completed will be entered into a draw at the finish line for exciting prizes like wine, cycling gear, or a stay in the region. At the end of the journey at Goose Patch, participants will be able to enjoy a delightful setting with open cellars from local winemakers and a dulcimer bar, where you can relax among friends and drinks until evening.
