Epic Costumes, Napoleon Vibes, Action-Packed Fun, and Craft Beer

There are numerous exciting reasons to visit Slavkov u Brna and its Baroque chateau during this holiday season. How about joining the Day with the Princess, attending a film festival, or celebrating the Emperor’s Birthday? If you’re in the mood for something more leisurely, perhaps you might enjoy dining at the castle restaurant. Let’s explore the events taking place in summer 2025 at Slavkov u Brna.
To the park for golf and archery
Be sure not to overlook the castle park in Slavkov u Brna. Whether you visit during the summer or in early December for the well-known battle reenactment, it is worth your time. Why is that? Perhaps because it’s one of the most significant historical gardens in Moravia, and the scenery is quite lovely. Just as the chateau adapted to new architectural styles, the surrounding area has transformed as well. The original Renaissance garden transitioned into a Baroque area filled with pools, fountains, and an array of vases and statues that often feature mythological beings and allegorical figures.
The visually appealing Baroque landscape does not stop at the garden wall; it expands into the town and surrounding areas through tree-lined pathways. At the rear of the park, there is a six-hole golf course that extends beyond the northern wall of the castle. The park also showcases horticulture, greenhouses, and the so-called Manor nursery, where seedlings were cultivated for both the park and the Kounic forest. An interesting feature is a small lookout tower nestled between two wells, transformed from a former transformer station. You can enjoy various fun activities in the park. Don’t miss out on renting sports equipment at the information center! Each rental set costs only 30 crowns for an entire day, with a refundable deposit equivalent to the value of the equipment. You can rent items for activities such as archery, badminton, frisbee, skittles, petanque, diabolo, juggling balls, or croquet.
Castle lounges and baroque underground
You can take a look at the beautiful interiors of the chateau, which feature ceiling frescoes and elegant stucco decorations, by joining a classic tour. Your options include the Historical halls tour highlighting the oldest part of the castle, or the Life through the centuries – historic salons tour, which showcases smaller rooms styled from the Renaissance to the Empire period, as well as a Hunting and Military Lounge, a Library, and a Theatre Room. You can also explore the spacious Baroque underground of the castle through the The law of oppression in the Slavkov region tour. Additionally, there’s an interactive tour route especially for children. If you enjoy good beer, don’t forget to visit the Slavkov Brewery restaurant.
