Experience a Magical August at Loučeň Castle with Robin Hood’s Enchanting Celebration

We all remember watching fairy tales and, at least in our dreams, we battled dragons, wizards, and other villains to rescue the beautiful princess. After a 5-year wait, the castle park at Loučín is welcoming back Robin Hood and his band, the lovely Lady Marion, and the sinister Sheriff of Nottingham. along with many other beloved characters in the exciting seasonal event called “Fairy Tale Summer”.

This August, Loučín Castle will transform its park into Sherwood Forest, four days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday), giving visitors, especially kids, a chance to experience the magical world of Legends and Medieval Times.

Robin Hood and his merry men will resist the evil sheriff. They will welcome young recruits in the castle park, where they’ll teach them archery and jousting, and let them try on their armor and weapons.

The full-day event kicks off at 10 a.m. and features staged performances in the castle’s amphitheater, showcasing scenes from Sherwood. In between these shows (which last about 25 minutes), children can have fun collecting precious stones for successfully completing engaging tasks. There will also be a blacksmith demonstration and a cushion-making workshop.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy children’s and standard tours, along with the favorite sweet chocolate tour. You’ll be guided through the castle by Her Serene Highness Princess Mary or another member of the royal family. At the restaurant Funny porridge , you can savor a special fairy tale-themed menu. There will also be refreshments available in the castle park, and you can even order a picnic basket prepared by a local chef.
