The Robinson Family Park is the biggest indoor amusement park in the Vysočina area, featuring a variety of unique attractions for kids. Spanning 2500 m2, it has numerous original attractions for children. You can explore a labyrinth that resembles a never-ending jungle filled with corridors, climbing structures, slides, and even a cannon range, a ship’s mast, pirate ship, volcano, inflatable skull, monkey trail, spider tower, and much more. The park also organizes regular Children’s workshops that blend adventure and fun with learning, based on the idea of “learning through play.” While kids enjoy themselves in the play area, you can relax with a coffee, browse the internet, or catch up on your reading. The park features a restaurant and comfortable facilities for adults too. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can join your kids in all the attractions, as they all welcome adults. It’s open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and you can enjoy an extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays.
Alternator in Trebic
The Ecotechnical Centre Alternátor located in Trebic – Borovina serves as a Science and Technology Centre where fun meets creative activities. Its exhibitions cover the history of energy and footwear up to present times. One standout exhibit, “Science on a Sphere,” features over 800 programs that are sure to captivate visitors of all ages. The ground floor showcases historical displays featuring stationary engines, threshing machines, and straw bale balers from renowned manufacturers like Benz, Lorenc, and the Parík brothers. Visitors will also get to see steam boiler heads, steam engines, or locomotives. On the first floor, a windmill blade and a miniature fully furnished home are eye-catching highlights. On Fridays, the centre is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (without guided tours), and on Saturdays, it welcomes guests from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guided presentations on the projection ball are scheduled at 10:00 and 14:00. The centre is usually open for pre-booked groups from Monday to Thursday and closed on Sundays.
Eden Amusement and Discovery Park
The previously abandoned Mitrovsky farmhouse in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem has been transformed into an Eden Ecological Centre, a wonderful place for interactive fun and learning for families. In the mountainous village, you can see how our ancestors lived and try your hand at various traditional crafts. You can become a weaver, potter, or carpenter for a short while. Real-life examples of daily activities of people from the Highlands are accompanied by Manor housing, providing insights into the lifestyles of the nobility. The past is further depicted through an animal farm, where kids can learn about different animals. On the farm, you have the option to buy fresh eggs, and after your exciting visit, you can savor a delicious omelette at home. During the holidays, Eden is open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on weekends throughout other months.
Model Railway Kingdom in Žďár nad Sázavou
If you love trains, why not take advantage of a rainy day by visiting the Model Railway Kingdom in Žďár nad Sázavou with your kids? In this space of 50 m2, you’ll find various attractions including Žďár nad Sázavou station, the engineering firm Žďas, the gorgeous Pernštejn Castle, the viaduct in Dolní Loučky, and other regional highlights. The layout features 600 m of tracks with over 160 switches and accommodates up to 70 train sets. The Model Kingdom is open for public visits during holidays, every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends during the rest of the year, including winter.
