Discover the Magic of Stargazing in September and October at Štramberk Trúba

Besides the “Tears of St. Lawrence”, do you want to see more things in space? On the evenings of September 5 and October 10, 2025, the Stramberg Trúba will host an event at the Jaroňek shelter where astronomers will gather. It’s likely that we will also catch a glimpse of the ISS flying by. Astronomical observations will occur, featuring both popular and expert insights from astronomers at the observatory located in Valašské Meziříčí.

Additionally, there will be events shortly before the peak of the Perseids, increasing your chances of spotting a “shooting star” and making a wish, especially under the captivating atmosphere created by the Trúba. To find out if the weather conditions are appropriate for this exciting event, you can check the city’s website and its Facebook page. If necessary, alternate dates may be set for the following day. You will have the opportunity to observe celestial events using portable telescopes. The gathering for interested participants will take place at the Jaroňek shelter.
