Czech Adventure Begins: Stars Set to Shine at the Castle!
The Czech Tour will once again feature elite teams like Visma – Lease and Bike and Soudal Quick-Step from the WorldTour category, promising thrilling duels at the highest level. Fans can look forward to seeing stage winners from the Tour de France, Giro, and Vuelta, including names like Yves Lampaert, sprinter Luke Lamperti, and popular Czech rider Josef Černý, who has triumphed at the Czech Tour in the past. The Czech teams ATT Investments and Elkov-Kasper will also be present.
The organizers have prepared an exciting program for competitors and cycling fans. The race kicks off on Thursday, August 14th, from Vítězné náměstí in Prague and finishes in Karlovy Vary at Divadelní náměstí. The winner will be determined after a technically demanding and fast finish. On Friday, riders will move from Pardubice to Dlouhé stráně, where they’ll face their first significant test for the yellow jersey. Saturday’s stage from Prostějov to Ostrava will likely feature a dramatic bunch sprint. Finally, on Sunday, the race concludes with the royal stage, starting from Kroměříž and culminating in the challenging climb to Pustevny, where this year’s winner will be crowned.
„We have planned the routes in a balanced way so that both climbers and sprinters will find their way to the top,” explains Czech Tour director Leopold König, adding: „We hope that both spectators on the screens and in person will witness drama until the very end on Pustevny.”

Our country has so much to offer – from stunning nature to historic cities and the increasingly popular active recreation. The cycling peloton will visit regions that will be showcased to viewers around the globe, creating new opportunities for tourism and for the towns and cities along the race route,” emphasizes František Reismüller, Director of the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism, one of the official partners of the cycling event.
On Wednesday, August 13th, a ceremonial presentation of the teams will take place in Prague at Hradčany Square, giving fans a unique chance to meet all the riders up close. The Czech Tour will again feature a rich program of supporting events in the starting and finishing cities, including activities for families and musical performances.
