Discover the Art of Black Craft

Each year in August, Buškov Hamr celebrates the Blacksmith Day, and this year it will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The sound of anvils will once again fill the air as fires are lit. Visitors will have the opportunity to see three drive wheels that craftsmen use to create iron objects, as well as the new vantrocks — wooden water troughs that power various tools for ironworking. One of the highlights is the chance to witness hammer machines at work!
Bushkov Hamr is recognized as a technical monument where impressive water-powered forging machines have been carefully preserved. The annual Blacksmith’s Day provides a fantastic chance to see traditional hammering techniques and other old crafts in action. Additionally, visitors can explore the Old Bohemian Fair featuring unique crafts and artworks, along with live demonstrations of blacksmithing and various folk arts. Kids can enjoy fairy tales, while adults will be entertained by performances from Hasičanka, Jazzové perutě 80, and the band Do ticha. There is no mandatory entry fee for the hamlet.
