Bohumín’s Beer Festivals: A Hoppy Musical Escape

This Saturday, on August 16, Bohumín will be buzzing with the excitement of the 16 August Beer Festival, featuring a remarkable variety of seventy beers from both large and small breweries, lively beer competitions, and performances by well-known bands.

As you browse through the offerings at this year’s twelfth Beer Festival, you can almost taste the selection of chilled beverages, especially given the hot weather. There will be unique beer specials from breweries with fun animal-themed names, such as Frog, Horse, Brabčák, Hairy Monkey, along with renowned classics from the biggest Czech brewers. For those who enjoy flavored beers, options like honey, blueberry, almond, and cherry will also be available to sample.

This year’s Beer Festival promises more than just drinks. There’s an exciting lineup of activities! Expect a kids’ area with carousels, beer competitions on stage, and fun attractions like football darts, speed ball, a large LED TV, airbrush art, face painting, bouncy castles, popcorn, nachos, and creative workshops for children, including making magnets and badges. There will also be a photo booth for capturing fun memories.

The list of breweries participating this year includes: Aero microbrewery, Beerokracie, Vinotéka & Pivotéka Bohumín, Brabčák, Hoppydog, Pivovar Koníček, Lutena, Pivovar Medojed, Pivovar Paskov, Pivovárek Morava, Pivovar Černá Hora, Spilko, Bistro Molinek, and Skřečoňský Žabák.

You can buy tickets at the entrance for 100 CZK, and children under 15 years of age can attend for free if they are accompanied by an adult.
