The festival’s amazing vibe comes from its location: for this purpose, the Hazel Valley under Spa hotel Lanterna has set up a circus tent that can hold 600 people. The 9th Charity Culture Week Festival in Wallachia, which marks a symbolic end to the summer at the Valachy Resort in Velké Karlovice, is scheduled to take place from August 20 to 26, 2025, and once again, the money raised will support charitable causes. The festival will feature nine performances under the tent, along with live music evenings and a delightful Family Day. An outdoor party space with street food and drinks will add to the lively atmosphere. The funds raised will benefit the mobile hospice Strom života and Charity Nový Hrozenkov.
Festival Stars and Relaxation in the Hazel Valley
The festival kicks off on Wednesday August 20 in the afternoon with actor Václav Vydra, who will entertain guests with tales from the world of theatre and film shoots. He has some surprises for horse lovers, especially since he has a long-standing connection to the horse industry. In the evening, he will perform in the comedy Marital Turbulence alongside Michaela Badink, Josef Cardou , and Štěpánka Křesťanová. Throughout the following days, theatre groups from across the country will participate, featuring well-known actors such as Prokop Zach, Lucie Žáčková, Nikol Kouklová, and Jan Hrušínský.
As is the tradition, Jaroslav Dušek will present two performances named The Four Agreements and The Fifth Agreement. You can anticipate his appearance the next evening when he will engage in a discussion with functional medicine specialist Jan Vojáček on the subject of Joy being a choice. The festival will conclude with the artistic group Brothers in Trick, renowned in our country for over a decade in the area of new circus, blending theatre with music and acrobatics.
Saturday is dedicated to families with children. Kids can enjoy a puppet show called Bajaja!, a circus workshop featuring acrobats , and a culinary showcase. A creative workshop will be held, and children can try horseback riding, bouncy car rides, and much more. As in previous years, the festival area will also come alive with a party zone featuring snacks and live music.
