Exciting Beer Festival This Weekend at Chodovar Brewery
Did we mention that there will be great food and drinks? If you enjoy beer, consider visiting Chodová Plané on Saturday, August 23, 2025, for the Chodovar brewery festivities. This year’s theme is “SATURNin in the brewery.” Uncle Pepin will be back as a main character, joined by the local amateur theatre group, known as “Komedyjanti,” from Tachov.
You can look forward to some fun and unconventional brewery tours suitable for people of all ages. The stage The Old Maltings will feature exciting demonstrations using methane, and participants will also have the chance to try it out. The main events will be held at the Brewery Gardens stage, where various bands and performers will entertain visitors. At 14:30, you can catch the Lucie Revival band from Pilsen, and later, at 19:30, the Špejbl’s Helprs and AC/DC Revival band will take the stage, followed by the Rullete Music Band, a talented group of musicians who will keep you dancing until you’ve lost your shoes and your beer!
Special tours and beer
From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., you can join special tours led by the Comedyjanti amateur theatre, with Uncle Pepin playing a lead role! Throughout the event, you’ll get to sample delicious treats such as authentic beer jam made by the brewmaster’s wife, yeasty Chodské beer straight from 800-year-old rock cellars, Blueberry beer and Chodska cakes from Beerrarium Stará Sladovna, and various grilled delights or dishes from the restaurant Ve Skála, crafted by a talented chef.
Entry to the venue (including tours of the brewery) requires a ticket. The cost of admission is 290 CZK, but only if there is availability left. Your ticket gives you a chance to win valuable prizes in a drawing.
