Explore the Globe at the Barevná 9 Festival

On the last Saturday of August, August 30, 2025, the multicultural festival Barevná 9 will take place as it does every year. This is the festival’s 21st year and it is organized once more by the Prague 9 Municipal Office in the familiar Podviní Park in Vysočany. The colourful nine highlights the cultures of national minorities present in our country, showcasing them to the public. Attendees will have the chance to discover fascinating music, traditional dances, customary clothing, various activities, and delicious foods from all parts of the globe.
The musical performances and other activities will be held on the main stage situated on the main meadow of Podviní Park, featuring both international and local artists. Traditional Roma music will again grace the Barevná 9 festival with a performance by Gitans. Prepare to dance to the lively beats of salsa with Tam Tam Batucada or enjoy the festive sounds of Mexican performers Mariachi Bohemia. The highlight of the evening will be the dynamic show by the group So Fine . Czech traditional music will be represented by Saša Vrábel’s dulcimer melodies.
