Kampa Welcomes Exciting Traditional Potters’ Markets

Kampa Island is truly one of the most stunning and romantic locations in Prague. Pottery Markets have a long history here, dating back centuries ago, when local residents would visit to purchase plates, jugs, stoneware, vases, and small decorative items. The tradition continues thanks to the Sananim civic association, which is hosting this year’s Pottery Market in Kampa on the weekend of September 6 and 7, 2025. In addition to numerous stalls featuring unique ceramics from various artisans, you’ll find products from protected ceramic workshops, and there will be a selection of tasty treats available for sampling. There will also be an engaging program for families with children.
The markets will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will feature a variety of performances by artists including Václav Strasser, the Institute of Amazement, Geisslers Hofcomoedianten, Holektiv, and several others. This wonderful event is being organized by Sananim, a nonprofit organization that has dedicated over 30 years to helping individuals struggling with addiction. By purchasing a mug at the Sananim booth, you’ll be assisting many individuals in finding their path forward.
