The ambiance of swimming at night and using the sauna will be enhanced by candlelight, and every hour there will be sauna rituals in the sauna area.

It promotes better sleep since your body can relax more quickly after a sauna session, making it easier to drift off. If you use a special scrub, your skin becomes softer and shines more. Most importantly, your mind will find peace, your breathing will slow, your heartbeat will become calmer, and you’ll leave feeling lighter, as if all your worries have been lifted away.
Sauna nights in Wellness Horal: each month features a different theme
According to the head chef, Tomas Ondrejka, the sauna’s effect is even stronger at night. The peaceful outdoor surroundings, the glow of candles near the thermal pools, soft music, and the feeling that the day is coming to a close create an extraordinary ambiance. Bathing in the sauna becomes a more profound, meditative experience that touches both the body and soul. Each month has a unique theme: on September 6. 9. 2025, the theme will be Movie Sauna Night. For October 4. 10., the theme will be Wallachian sauna night, on November 1. 11., it will be Retro Sauna Night, and finally, on December 6. 12., there will be a sauna event titled “Around the World“.
From 6 PM to midnight, you can enjoy six hours of relaxation in the thermal pools, the sauna area, and a cardio fitness center. There will be six different themed sauna rituals taking place in the spacious Sauna Dome, clean towels will be available at all times, refreshments will be provided, including selected cheeses, fruit juices, and other small treats. The Vital Bar will remain open until midnight, and you can also try out various free products in the steam room, like body scrubs.
Sauna ritual: From heat to ultimate relaxation
Participating in a sauna ceremony at Wellness Horal is far more than just sitting in a sauna. The rituals are specifically designed to help your body and mind truly relax and rejuvenate. In about ten minutes, the sauna master applies aromatic essences to the hot stones – these include scents like grapefruit, green lemon, eucalyptus, alpine or Tuscan flowers, or mint and even slivovitz for the Wallachian theme. These fragrances not only refresh you but also calm your mind and energize your body, adding to the meditative feel of the experience. Then, the air inside the sauna is swirled with a towel, known as the steam blast, which wraps around you to open your pores and boost the heat’s effects. This process is repeated three times, with temperatures climbing up to 93 °C. It’s a physically demanding experience even for the sauna master, so showing appreciation with applause is appropriate.
The ritual also includes body rubs using yogurt scrubs, mineral-enriched salt scrubs, honey scrubs, yogurt with chocolate, or honey mixed with coconut oil. The yogurt nourishes, the salt cleans, and the honey softens while losing its stickiness in the warmth of the sauna. After the ritual, these products need to be rinsed off in the shower, followed by a refreshing dip in the cooling pool or even hopping into the snow if it’s winter. After each ceremony, you’re offered fresh water and fruit snacks, and it’s highly recommended to take a moment to relax in the relaxation room or enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi.
When is Sauna Night, and what is the cost for entry?
Sauna Night occurs from 6 PM to midnight. The last sauna ritual begins at 11 PM. The entry fee for guests not staying at the hotel is 1,490 CZK, while hotel guests are admitted for free. Discounts such as birthday specials or vouchers are not applicable during Sauna Night.
