Soběslav Celebrations Unite with European Heritage Day This Year
The party before the Sobeslav Festivities will kick off with a concert featuring the well-known band Wohnout, along with the opening act Red Rose. They are set to perform on September 5, 2025, at 7 PM in the courtyard of the castle.
On the following day, Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the Soběslav Festival will take place at the same location. Attendees can expect fun games, competitions, and various activities in the park near Hlásky. Additionally, the castle cellar will be open, and there will be an exhibition in the tower.
As part of the European Heritage Days, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, various locations in Soběslav will have free access to the Rožmberk Castle, the Hláska watchtower, the Blatský Museum – Rožmberk, Smrček House, and the town tower at St. Peter and Paul’s Church. This year’s theme for European Heritage Days is “Architectural Heritage.” This wonderful event across Europe, including the Czech Republic throughout September, opens up historically significant buildings and monuments for everyone to explore.
