Experience the Vibrant September Harvest at St. Clare’s Vineyard in Troja
The St. Clare Vineyard is truly one of the highlights among the vineyards in the Czech Republic and is also part of the Botanical Garden in Prague, the nation’s capital. It stands out as one of the few botanical gardens in the city that has its own vineyard for wine production! With a long history of wine growing, an excellent location, and a beautiful view, this vineyard is a fantastic spot for creating high-quality grapes and enjoying fine wines. The Traditional Vintage event will happen on the weekend of September 13 and 14, 2025, featuring exciting musical performances and tasty food. Guests can relax with a glass of wine while listening to the lively sounds of funk or jazz amidst the lovely surroundings of the blooming Ornamental Gardens. The event will be open on both days from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and entry costs 250 CZK.
During the vintage event, visitors will get the opportunity to taste and purchase white and rosé wines from St. Clare Vineyard’s 2024 and 2023 selections, as well as red wine and local sparkling wines. Alongside our own offerings, we will showcase wines from other Czech and Moravian winemakers like Vinařství Konečný, Sedlák, Mikrosvín, Hrozínek, Vinné sklepy Kutná Hora, Bettina Lobkowicz, Johannesberg, and a selection from France. Holding a glass of wine, guests can enjoy the beats of funk or jazz, sing along, and remember the popular songs of Zuzana Navarova. The notable performers for this year’s vintage celebration include singer and actress Berenika Kohoutová on Saturday, followed by Tonya Graves with The Stylists on Sunday.
Attendees can also take part in a variety of workshops and activities: both children and adults will be able to closely observe vines through the Botanical Gardens Laboratory, engage in wine pressing, create autumn wreaths, or try sand painting. For kids, there will be fun wooden rides, a trampoline, and a climbing wall to enjoy. The overall atmosphere will be enhanced by our media partner for the vintage festival – Radio Blaník. Additionally, during the European Heritage Days, the Chapel of St. Clare will be open for visitors.
The event is scheduled for both days, September 13 and 14, at the Ornamental Garden and the St. Clare Vineyard near the historic vineyard house. The basic entry fee is 250 CZK, while children will be charged 150 CZK. This fee includes access to the Botanical Garden, the Fata Morgana greenhouse, a guided tour of the wine production exhibition, and a wine glass or NickNack cup. The Botanic Garden has also started online ticket sales for the vintage, available at a discounted price.
