Discover Adventure and Celebration at Lanškrounská Kopa

The Long Distance March Lanškroun Kopa, along with the town’s festivities, takes place during the second weekend of September. This year marks the 56th edition, hosted on Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th of September in 2025, bringing many enjoyable sporting and cultural experiences as in past years. Participants can be either hikers or cyclists, and they can pick from a variety of routes that vary in length and level of difficulty.

For those who love hiking , routes are available at 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, and even 100 kilometres. For cyclists, the options include 15, 20, 30, 50, 70, or 110 kilometers on paved roads and 60 kilometers off-road on the Kopy trail. Runners can join in the 11th edition of the 15 km race. The ceremonial Start for the Lanškroun event will occur on Saturday from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the square in front of the town hall, which is also the finish line. Refreshments will be available along the marching routes. For children participating in the 5, 10, and 15 km routes, a delightful Fairytale Forest awaits.

Lanškroun Town Festival features a wide range of events

Simultaneously, a vibrant two-day folk celebration will take place in the squares and streets of Lanškroun, featuring town festivities with performances from a variety of musical groups. The celebrations kick off on Friday morning and will continue on Saturday until late in the night.

The cultural programme will offer an exciting mix of activities throughout the event. On Friday night, for example, you can enjoy performances by the brass band ZUŠ J. Pravečka, the Taková normální rodinka band, Kiss Forever Band, and Kapela Z attic on J. M. Marků square. On Saturday, look forward to performances from Pam Rabbit, Big Band Lanškroun, Cimbálová muzika Grajcar, Poetika, and at 21:45, the popular Michal David will take the stage followed by the band Poletíme? at 23:15. Additionally, various entertaining activities will include an exhibition of small animals at the castle courtyard, fun competitions for children, a veterans’ exhibition on Nádražní Street, and a demonstration of scouting skills at nám.
